ABOUT
• This tool lets you build a layered wildlife soundscape using recordings from Xeno-canto.
• Each sound is a real field recording by individual recordists.

MIXER
• VOL — channel volume
• PAN — stereo position (drag knob, double-click to center)
• M — mute channel
• S — solo channel (solo has priority, like in a DAW)
• MASTER — global output volume
• DISTANCE — perceived distance (low-pass + reverb)

BROWSE (GENUS A–Z)
• The browser shows a curated subset of common European genera.
• Click a genus to see example species.
• Click a species to load a random recording.
• Some files may take a moment to load.
• This browser is NOT the full Xeno-canto library.
• For full access, search above using Latin names.
